Ingredients

25-30 minutes
2-3 servings
  1. 1-2 tbsp.coriander leaves
  2. 1 tbsp.butter
  3. 2bay leaves
  4. 200gms. paneer cubes
  5. 2 tbsp.oil
  6. 1st marination -
  7. 1/4 tsp.salt or to taste
  8. 1 tsp.lime juice
  9. pinchpepper powder
  10. 1 tsp.ginger-garlic paste
  11. 2nd marination -
  12. 8-10cashew nuts
  13. handfulcoriander leaves, roughly chopped
  14. 1onion, roughly chopped
  15. 1 tsp.ginger-garlic paste
  16. 2green chilies
  17. 2 tbsp.cream cheese
  18. 1/4 tsp.salt or to taste
  19. 1 tsp.cumin powder
  20. 1/2 tsp.garam masala powder
  21. 1 cupyoghurt
  22. 1/3 cupcream
  23. Gravy -
  24. 1 tbsp.oil
  25. 1" cinnamon stick
  26. 2green cardamoms
  27. 4cloves
  28. 2green chilies, slit
  29. 1 tsp.ginger, grated
  30. 1 tsp.kasuri methi, crushed

Steps

25-30 minutes
  1. 1

    Marinate the paneer with the first marination for 15-20 minutes.
    For the second marination, blend all the ingredients (except yoghurt
    and cream) into a smooth paste.

    Now add the yoghurt and cream and give it a mix. Transfer the marinated paneer & mix well. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.

    Heat 2 tbsp. oil & fry the marinated paneer on both sides till light
    golden in colour. Keep aside.

    For the gravy, heat butter & oil. Temper with bay leaves, cinnamon,
    cardamom, cloves, green chilies & ginger. Stir fry for a few seconds.

    Add the leftover marinade & some water. Simmer for 8-10 minutes on
    a low flame or till you get the desired consistency.

    Add the fried paneer & kasuri methi. Give it a quick stir. Garnish with coriander leaves.

    Serve with steamed rice, jeera rice, pulao or any Indian flat bread.
