Ingredients

8 hours
6 - 8 servings
  • 1/2 poundbacon (fried crispy)
  • 1small onion
  • 2 TBSFlour
  • 2/3 cupwhite vinegar
  • 1-1/3 cupwater
  • 1/4 cupsugar
  • 1 tspsalt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 6 cupssliced and quartered red potatoes (cooked)

Steps

  1. 1

    Saute onion in bacon grease. Blend in flour slowly.

  2. 2

    Stir in vinegar and water and cook until thickened.

  3. 3

    Add remaining Ingredients and simmer 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Pour sauce over cooked potatoes and keep warm in a Dutch oven or crock pot on low for 6-8 hours.

  5. 5

    Serve warm.
