Ingredients

30-35 minutes

  1. 1+1/2 cupsRice flour
  2. 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  3. 1 tspKashmiri chilli powder
  4. 1 noOnion
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 1/2 tspHing/ asafoetida
  7. 1 tspAjwain/ carom
  8. 1 tspKasuri methi
  9. 1/2 tspGinger
  10. 1 no choppedGreen chilli
  11. 1 /2 cupCarrot (grated)
  12. 1 tbspTomato
  13. leavesCoriander few
  14. 1/2 cupWater / required
  15. Oil (required)

Steps

30-35 minutes
  1. 1

    Rice flour in a large bowl.
    Add turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, hing/ asafoetida, ajwain/carom seeds and kasuri methi.

    Next add, finely chopped onions, ginger, green chillies, grated carrot, finely chopped tomato, coriander leaves and mix well..

    Pour 1/2 cup of water and mix well.
    Pour another 1/2 cup and mix again.
    Check for seasoning and add anything if required.

    Heat a pan and pour a ladle of batter on it.

    Spread it gently and add some oil to the edges. Cook the chilla on medium low flame

  6. 6

    Once it done on one side, flip it to the other side and cook evernlyAfter the chilla is golden brown in colour on both sides remove it from the pan...

  7. 7

    Healthy and yummy Rice flour 😋 chilla is ready to be. Served hot with mint chutney and tomato sauce by the side.
