Cooking Instructions
- 1
Mix the dough ingredients together until you have a dough.
- 2
Divide the dough into four pieces. Cover each piece of dough with plastic wrap and lightly crush it into a pita shape and put it in the refrigerator for 4 hours or night in the fridge.
- 3
Mix all the filling ingredients together and put aside.
- 4
Take the circles of dough out of the refrigerator and roll them into a circle the size of a pita.
- 5
Use a pizza cutter to slice each circle into 8 triangles just like you cut a pizza. In the thick part of each triangle put a spoonful of filling and roll like a croissant towards the center of the circle.
- 6
Brush the pastries with eggyolk and spread sesame seeds and bake at 350F until tan.
- 7
You can now freeze the pastries in a zip loc bag (while still hot) or eat them right away!
I like to eat them with hard boiled egg.
Enjoy:)

Grandma's Peppernuts Grandma's Peppernuts
This is my Grandma's recipe for making pfeffernüsse. It has been a favorite of mine since I was a small child. As you may notice the ingredient amounts are a bit strange, that is because this recipe is only the half of the original recipe which is double this size! I don't believe my grandma ever even made the full recipe, although her mother may have. Regardless, enjoy these tasty treats with your morning coffee or a handful throughout the day! John Koopman -

My Grandmother's Wrapped Burdock My Grandmother's Wrapped Burdock
Out of all the dishes in my grandmother's New Year's meal, this is the #1 or 2 most popular. Even when we wanted to eat them on a normal day, she would make them for us. It's a flavor that I crave sometimes. They are wrapped with pork but of course beef works. You can use any part of the thinly sliced meat that you prefer! Wrapping is kind of annoying but the rest of the work is easy. My grandmother always finishes them off by simmering, so if you just simmer like you would when making stews, it's okay. My grandmother's seasoning is quite sweet, so you can adjust the amounts to fit your taste. Recipe by yaichin cookpad.japan -
