My grandma would always make peanut butter cookies and chocolate chip cookies. One day she combined the two recipes and it's now everyone's favorite!
Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 365°F
- 2
Cream together brown sugar and shortening(crisco), then add in eggs until evenly mixed
- 3
Mix together the other dry ingredients in a separate bowl
- 4
Add in the mixed dry ingredients gradually until evenly blended
- 5
Last, mix in the peanut butter and then chocolate chips
- 6
Use a spoon to scoop cookies onto an ungreased baking sheet( do not roll dough into balls) and bake for 9-10mins. This is a double recipe so cut ingredients in half if you don't want a few batches.
- 7
Cookies will still be gooey when you take them out of the oven, so let them sit for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack
