First, break up the kunafa pastry after taking it out of the freezer. Add the butter and powdered sugar, and mix well.

Grease a baking pan with butter. Spread half of the kunafa mixture in the pan and press it down gently with your hand. Add the ground nuts, raisins, and shredded coconut on top.

Add the remaining kunafa mixture as the second layer and press it down gently. Bake in a preheated oven until the bottom is golden, then turn on the broiler to brown the top.

Once you take it out of the oven, pour cold sugar syrup over the hot kunafa and cover it.

Serve and enjoy!
