Ingredients

4 servings
  • 1katori arhar/tuar dal
  • 1/4th raw mango chopped (skin removed)
  • Salt/huldi/chilly powder
  • 2 tablespoonsdesi ghee
  • Jeera/ heeng and rai for tadka

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash the dal well and put in pressure cooker. Add the chopped mango pieces along with salt and huldi. Add 2 1/2 katori water and give 3-4 whistles. When steam releases give a stir to the dal so that the mango pieces get mashed in it.

  2. 2

    Now make tadka.. Take ghee in a pan and when hot add jeera.. rai and heeng. When spluttering remove and add chilli powder and immediately pour in dal. Garnish with coriander and serve hot.👍😊
