Wash the mung dal and rice

Cut the onion and tomato, In a pressure cooker add oil and ghee mustard seeds,jeera, hing curry leaves,add ginger garlic paste,stir all ingredients now add turmeric powder,onion,cook the onion for 2 to 3 min add tomato,stir all ingredients

Now add dal and rice,add red chilli powder and salt

Add water and cover the lead of cooker and make 3 whistles

Your dal khichadi is ready to serve

Serve with pickle and papad
