Wash moong daal 2 -3 times properly and soak for 15 minutes.

In a pan add oil.once heated add mustard seeds and allow to crackle, then add asafoetida. Now add cut green chillies and curry leaves. Saute well and add turmeric powder.

Now add moong daal with the water used for soaking and cook well. Serve hot, garnish with coriander leaves.
