Place the bell peppers and eggplants on a baking sheet and roast in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 30 minutes, using both upper and lower heat if possible. Turn them occasionally with tongs.

Remove from the oven and let cool.

Peel the peppers and eggplants. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, and serve.
