Mid-Autumn Festival is coming up, wishing everyone a happy festival! Let's make a dessert to celebrate. Let's get started!
Steps
- 1
Filling:
Soften the butter, add all the ingredients, and mix well. Roll into small balls about 24 grams each (15 pieces) and chill in the refrigerator.
-
(Prepare cheese separately if desired, about 10 grams per ball) Flatten the coconut mixture and wrap it around the cheese. - 2
Oil Dough:
Mix flour, water, and sugar, then add softened butter. Knead until smooth.
Divide into 15 portions, about 23 grams each, and roll into balls. Set aside. - 3
Pastry Dough:
Mix flour and softened butter until combined. Divide into 15 portions, about 14 grams each, and roll into balls. Set aside. - 4
Pastry Making:
Roll out the oil dough and wrap it around the pastry dough, pinching the edges to seal. Starting with the first piece, roll the dough into an oval shape, then roll it up like a croissant and fold it in half, pressing it flat.
Assembly:
Wrap the coconut balls in the pastry, pinching the bottom to seal tightly to prevent filling from leaking during baking.
Brush the surface with a thin layer of egg wash and sprinkle with white or black sesame seeds. - 5
Preheat the oven to 340°F (170°C) and bake for 35 minutes. Let cool before serving. Enjoy!
