Ingredients

30 minutes
Serves 2 servings
  1. 1salmon steak
  2. 3 tablespoonsfish sauce (45 ml)
  3. 1 1/2 tablespoonssugar (about 20 grams)
  4. 1small piece of ginger
  5. 1/3 teaspoonblack pepper
  6. 1little caramel sauce (for color)
  7. 1/2red chili pepper

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat a pan and sauté ginger and shallots until fragrant. Turn off the heat, then add fish sauce, sugar, pepper, and chili.

    Add the salmon and marinate for 15 minutes to let the flavors absorb.

    Bring to a boil, skim off any foam if needed. Simmer on low heat until the sauce is reduced and thickened.
