Happy Deepawali to all my Cookpad Friends 🎇🪔 try out these besan laddu with a healthy twist of cranberries and mixed nuts. It has got added nutrition of almonds, Cashews, cranberries and the goodness of besan . These are good for energy and protein. You can substitute sugar with stevia , organic jaggery, date sugar or coconut sugar. They are also called blissballs or sweet lentil truffles for western understanding.

Steps

First, mix besan and ghee in a kadhai and whisk well to break all the lumps. Then keep on low heat and stir cook till aromatic and golden. It will take around 10 minutes.

Then add milk and stir well. It will turn grainy. Then mix in powdered sugar and mix well with a press and stir motion.

Add cardamom powder and combine well. Then switch off the flame & mix in powdered nuts and cranberries.Then turn on heat and mix well on low flame for five minutes.

Then take off from the heat. Cool for 5 minutes and roll into laddus. Garnish with cashews and serve! Enjoy.
