Steps
- 1
Wash and soak black rice in clean water for an hour. This is the first step towards making this delicious kheer.
- 2
Bring milk and sugar to a rolling boil on a high heat at first. Then lower down the heat to a low when it starts boiling vigorously. Also add cardamom powder.
- 3
Meanwhile keep the peeled and grated apples ready. Add them to the simmering milk. Also add soaked and blended black rice paste to the milk. Give it all a good mix. Allow it to simmer for the next 15-18 minutes.
- 4
It gets done in no time at all. Simmer until it thickens to a desired consistency. That's it. Adjust sugar if needed. Garnish with lots of chopped nuts of choice. Serve it warm or chilled. Enjoy!
- 5
Relish with your loved ones, friends and guests on any given day. Yum!
