Soak Barnyard millet for 6 hours. Wash red lentils and add both millet and red lentils into a pressure cooker and cook for 4 whistles. Add 2 cups of water before pressure cooking the millet and dal.Add little turmeric before cooking.

If you add a cup with water the dal will not spill out.Keep cut onions peeled peas and peeled and chopped potatoes and cleaned methi too ready.

In a pan add jeera and saunf in hot oil followed by turmeric powder and hing then comes the onions and and green chilli.

Let the onions cook well with a little salt then add the potatoes, peas and methi.Cook till all become soft.

Now once the pressure release on it own open the cooker mix in salt required.

Add this mixture too the veggies add water if necessary mix and cover and cook for one min. Lastly add ghee for flavour.Can be enjoyed with cucumber raita or sambar.
