Ingredients

  1. 1 kgfish fillets
  2. 6green chillies
  3. 15 (1 tbsp.)cloves garlic
  4. 1 tbsp.cilantro
  5. 3 tbsp.lemon juice, divided
  6. To taste, salt
  7. 1 tbsp.coriander seeds
  8. 1 tbsp.chilli flakes
  9. 1 tsp.chilli powder
  10. 1 tbsp.pepper powder
  11. 1 tsp.turmeric
  12. 1 tsp.carom seeds
  13. 1 tsp.garam masala
  14. 1 tsp.cumin powder
  15. 1 tsp.chaat masala
  16. 4 tbsp.corn flour/starch
  17. 4 tbsp.gram flour (besan)
  18. As required, oil

Steps

  1. 1

    In a blender add garlic, cilantro, green chillies and 2 tablespoon lemon juice and grind to paste.

  2. 2

    Pat dry the fish and season with salt, lemon juice.

  3. 3

    Add prepared green chilli paste and coat the fish.

  4. 4

    In a flat dish combine the remaining ingredients, except the oil.

  5. 5

    Coat the fish in the dry ingredients.

  6. 6

    Heat oil in a wok and deep fry the fish, in batches,.

  7. 7

    Drain to kitchen paper.

  8. 8

    Serve with desired side.
