Ingredients

  • For Boiling:
  • 3 cupsRice
  • 1 tspCumin seeds
  • 3 tbspSalt
  • Coriander leaves 1 tsp
  • 1 tspMint
  • For Gravy:
  • 1 kgChicken
  • 1Potato
  • 1 cupOil
  • 1 packetBiryani masala
  • 1 cupYoghurt
  • 1/4 tspYellow color
  • Tomato 1 sliced
  • 6-8Green chillies
  • Coriander leaves 4 tbsp
  • Mint leaves 3 tbsp
  • Lemons 2 sliced
  • 5-6Dried plums

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak rice for few hours.

    Boil rice with all the ingredients.

    Cut Potato into quarters.

    Put chicken, potato,oil, biryani masala and 1/2 cup of water and cook for 15 minutes or till liquid evaporates.

    Mix colour and yogurt together.

    Put yoghurt over the cooked chicken.

    Add in tomato, green chillies, coriander,mint, lemons and plums.

    Add in rice.

    Cook covered on dum for 10 minutes.

    Serve straight away.
