Steps
- 1
In a large bowl, combine wheat flour and gram flour and add crushed coriander, crushed cumin seeds, ginger-chili paste, kasoori fenugreek, pepper powder, ajwain, turmeric, red chili powder, salt to taste, and a pinch of asafoetida.
- 2
Now add both ghee and oil for frying. Add finely chopped onion and chopped green coriander. Mix everything well with the flour.
- 3
Now add water little by little as required and make a medium hard dough. Cover this dough and keep it aside for ten to fifteen minutes.
- 4
From the prepared dough, six to seven equal balls are to be made. These balls are to be kneaded in plain flour and rolled out like thick rotis.
- 5
Sprinkle chopped green coriander and finely chopped garlic on it and knead it lightly with a rolling pin.
- 6
Apply some water on the back of the roti and place the watery part on a hot pan. When some bubbles appear on the roti, roast the roti directly on the gas flame.
- 7
So the Tandoori Missi Roti will be ready. This Roti can be served with butter.
- 8
I served Tandoori Missi Roti with vegetables and sour pickles.
