No, these are not cinnamon rolls! I was thinking of the synonym roll meme and wondered what an antonym roll would be like - this is what I came up with! Looks like a cinnamon roll, is not a cinnamon roll. Still yummy regardless!

Warm the milk by microwaving for 45 seconds. Pour in bowl and sprinkle yeast and a little bit of the sugar on top - it should get foamy in about 5 mins.

Mix in the rest of the sugar, along with the melted butter, egg, and egg yolk. Mix in the bread flour until combined.

On a well-floured surface, knead the dough until soft and slightly sticky.

Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl and cover to let rise. Ideally it should double in size, which will take from 1 to 1 1/2 hours. You’ll know it’s ready when you poke it and the indentation doesn’t bounce back immediately.

In the meantime, slice and caramelize the onions. Once cooked, add in the water and curry cubes and cook until it’s a paste like consistency. Mix into the softened butter.

On a well-floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle.

Spread the mixture on top of the dough. If not using floss, cut the dough in strips before rolling.

Place the rolls on a 9x9 pan. Cover and let rise until the rolls have puffed up and touching each other in the pan, 45min-1hr.

Once risen, pour heavy cream until it just covers the bottom. Bake at 350F for 20 mins.

Meanwhile, make the bechamel sauce by melting butter in a pan and whisking in the flour until it forms a paste. Gradually add in the milk while stirring consistently. Add the seasonings to taste.

Once out the oven, cool the rolls for 10 minutes. Pour the bechamel over top and serve!
