Fresh fruit salad bathed in a sweet and tangy dressing is an actual dessert than a salad.
Fruit salad is a favourite dessert, salad and even a snack in Pakistan. It is a must have for iftars.
This fruit salad is made with fresh fruit that is available. It can be made with canned fruit also.
The dressing is something else. Usually fruit salad served in Pakistan is drenched in juice, chaat masala and lemon juice. Or it is served with some sort of creamy sauce or custard.
Here I used fruit yogurt with mayo to make the dressing. You can use any flavoured yogurt.
it is the perfect sweet treat when you have some fruit you need to use up, or you’re trying to keep things simple. It’s creamy and sweet and absolutely delicious! Plus it takes all of 10 minutes to throw together.

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1pear, chopped
  2. 1clementine, peeled, chopped
  3. 1apple, cored, chopped
  4. 1banana, peeled, chopped
  5. 1/2 cupfruit yogurt
  6. 2 tbsp.brown sugar
  7. 1/2lemon, juiced
  8. 3 tbsp.mayonnaise
  9. 1/2 tsp.cinnamon powder
  10. 2 tbsp.dried cranberries
  11. 4 tbsp.walnuts, divided
  12. 1/4cup+ 2 tbsp. raisins

Cooking Instructions

    In a bowl add all the chopped fruits, and ¼ cup raisins. Mix well.

    In a small bowl combine yogurt, sugar, lemon juice, mayo and cinnamon powder.

    Add cranberries and 2 tablespoon walnuts. Mix well.

  4. 4

    Pour the dressing over the fruit and mix well.

  5. 5

    Serve chilled, garnished with raisins and walnuts.
