This is the recipe I like to make on the 29th. I didn't have time to make homemade gnocchi, so I bought fresh potato gnocchi from the pasta shop near my house.

This is the recipe I like to make on the 29th. I didn't have time to make homemade gnocchi, so I bought fresh potato gnocchi from the pasta shop near my house.

Chop all the vegetables.

Cut the beef into large pieces. Trim off any excess fat.

In a large pot, add a splash of oil and heat. Add the onions, garlic, and the rest of the chopped vegetables.

When the onions turn translucent, add a little salt, cook for a few minutes, then add the beef.

Once the beef changes color, add the white wine. When the wine has evaporated, add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and finally the Roma tomatoes.

After a few minutes, add the seasonings.

Stir and cook over medium heat for about 1 1/2 hours. If needed, add hot water to keep it from drying out. Adjust the seasonings and salt as it cooks.

When the stew is almost ready, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi; when they float to the surface, remove them and place them in a serving dish. Top with the stew and serve!
