Sesame saffron rings
A great snack or light lunch, these ring shaped rolls can be filled with absolutely anything you fancy. It is easy to make and delicious to eat even on the go. #CA2025
Steps
- 1
Mix together all ingredients in an electric mixer with dough hook attached, except sesame seeds and the egg. Mix until dough leaves the side of the bowl approximately 5 minutes. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for an hour. (I usually cover to bowl with cling film, heat up my oven to lowest setting then turn it off and place my dough in the oven)
- 2
Line a large baking tray with baking paper, then divide the dough into 80 g pieces, if you like larger rings you can divide into 100g each. Roll them into sausage shapes and join the ends to form a ring. Brush each rings with the beaten egg and place them on baking tray. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, let it rise in a warm place for another hour.
- 3
Preheat your oven for 220 c and bake the rings for 25 minutes or until golden brown, then transfer them onto wire rack to cool. Enjoy!
