Here is a Paratha made healthy using Avocado . This paratha became a hot favorite of my daughter & she would happily gorge on it with Chundo (Indian sweet pickle). And her tiffin box would come back empty. So daughter & mom both happy , happy . I got the satisfaction that I have given her healthy paratha in the tiffin box & she would be happy eating her paratha with her 'FAVE' topping & pickle.
Personally , I feel it is better to put cheese or paneer as a topping than stuffing it for children . First of all , they are always in a hurry to finish their lunch , so they could go to play , secondly , the stuffing tends to fall out of the paratha as they bite into it or try to make pieces to eat . This is my personal view . You can choose to do as you deem fit .
But either way, the tiffin is going to come back empty as Avocado Parathas are delicious to eat .

This is my personal view . You can choose to do as you deem fit .
But either way, the tiffin is going to come back empty as Avocado Parathas are delicious to eat .
Steps
- 1
Dough : Make a smooth paste of Avocado with 1 tbsp water in a mixer jar. Keep aside.
- 2
Take whole wheat flour, Avocado paste, spring onions with greens, green chillies, salt, red chili powder, cumin - coriander powder & turmeric powder in a thali / plate. Knead to a smooth, soft dough without using any water
- 3
Cover & keep aside for 10 minutes
- 4
Now take a small portion of the dough & roll into a medium thick paratha.
- 5
Cook the paratha using ghee, till golden spots appear on both the sides. Remove on a plate.
- 6
Sprinkle grated paneer on top of the paratha while the paratha is warm. Press a little with the help of a spatula, so the topping sticks well.
- 7
Cool the paratha completely.Roll the parathas. Pack 2 paratha in a tiffin box with Indian Pickle. I packed Chundo, children's favorite in the small container.
- 8
Note : Though these parathas do not use any moin, they are super soft. Avocado have natural oil in them which makes it super soft.
