Ingredients

30-45 Minutes
2-4 servings
  • Pork Chops (2-4l
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 1 tsponion powder
  • 1/2 tspsmoked paprika
  • 1/2 cupall purpose flour
  • 2 TBSPvegetable oil
  • FOR THE ONION GRAVY / PAPRIKASH
  • 1Onion (thinly sliced)
  • 2 clovesminced garlic
  • 2 TBSPunsalted butter
  • 2 TBSPall purpose flour
  • 2 cupschicken broth
  • 1/2 cupheavy cream
  • 1/2 tspworcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cupsour cream
  • 1/2 tspcayenne powder to season the chops

Steps

30-45 Minutes
  1. 1

    Season and dredge the chops. Season the chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder, cayenne pepper, and smoked paprika. Then dredge the chops in flour

  2. 2

    Sear the chops for 2.5-3 minutes. Remove them to an oven on Warm.

  3. 3

    Melt the butter in the same pan, and add the sliced onions, cook for 5 minutes or until carmelized. Stir in the minced garlic and flour to thicken the sauce.

  4. 4

    Whisk in the chicken broth, and stir in the heavy cream (or condensed milk), sour cream, and worcestershire sauce, and bring the mix to a simmer.

  5. 5

    Take the chops out of the warm oven, and put them in the skillet with the Paprikash sauce. Cover and let simmer for 15-20 minutes.
