Ingredients

8 hr 15 minutes
6-8 people
  1. The meat:
  2. 4 lbsPork shoulder
  3. 1 cupbarbecue sauce
  4. 1large yellow onion, chopped
  5. 1/2 cupChicken broth
  6. 1/2 cupapple cider vinegar
  7. 1/4 cupbrown sugar
  8. 1 Tbspspicy mustard
  9. 1 TbspWorcestershire sauce
  10. 3 tspminced garlic
  11. 1 1/2 tspdried thyme
  12. To serve
  13. Hawaiian slider buns
  14. French’s Fried Onions
  15. Sliced Pickles
  16. BBQ sauce

Cooking Instructions

8 hr 15 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix together barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, chicken broth, and brown sugar. Add in mustard, Worcestershire, chili powder, and minced garlic.

    Put the pork shoulder in the crock pot. Pour the mixture from above over the top. Add minced garlic, onion, and thyme.

    Cook on low for 8 hours. Enjoy the smells permeating through your home!

    At the end of the cook time, take the meat out of the crock pot and shred.

    Grab your slider buns (Hawaiian Rolls) and load it up with pork, bbq sauce to your liking, French’s Fried Onions, and pickles. Serve with your favorite sides.
