Season steak strips with salt, pepper, baking soda and smoked paprika. Rub it all in and let steak come to room temperature. Cook pasta to al dente, drain & set aside.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic (add more oil if necessary) sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.

Pour in beef broth and heavy cream,bring to a simmer. Add salt & pepper if desired. Add in spinach. Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens slightly. Return steak to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
Add cooked pasta shells to the skillet; mix gently to combine and heat through.
