My youngest woke up very early one weekend to bake this. She's been craving cinnamon rolls and store-bought cinnamon rolls taste nothing like homemade ones. She did her own readings online, found few recipes and baked this! We all ❤️it!

  13. ✅️ HOMEMADE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
  14. 4 ozcream cheese (113g and softened)
  15. 3/4 cuppowdered sugar (90g)
  16. 1 tspvanilla extract (4g)
  17. 3 tbspsoftened butter (45g)

Cooking Instructions

25-30 minutes
  1. 1

Start by blooming or proofing the yeast. Combine & mix warm milk (NOT HOT MILK), sugar, salt & yeast. Let it sit for 7 - 10 mins.

  2. 2

Once the yeast is bloomed or proofed, it should foam or bubble indicating it's ready to be used. After that, add in melted butter & an egg. Mix it well.

  3. 3

Next, add in flour into the mixture until it forms a soft dough (add more if needed).

  4. 4

Knead the dough until well combined then transfer it into a clean bowl. Let it sit covered for an hour or until the dough is double in size.

  5. 5

In the meantime, into another bowl, combine & mix well brown sugar, softened butter and cinnamon powder. Cover & leave aside to use later.

  6. 6

Check the dough after an hour. Place the dough on a clean counter and roll it until it’s flat and even throughout.

  7. 7

Scoop enough cinnamon sugar and spread it evenly.

  8. 8

Next, make a long, evenly spaced cut so you have a uniform rectangular size pieces. We use our butter lid to evenly measure & space our cuts. Next, gently roll the dough.

  9. 9

Lightly grease your oven safe baking pan or bowl with some butter. Place the rolls onto the pan and distance them evenly. Cover the pan, see pic for reference and let them sit for another hour or until they double in size.

  10. 10

Check the rolls after an hour, brush the rolls generously with heavy cream and bake for 25 minutes at 350F (bake it for longer if needed). Note: preheat your oven before baking.

  11. 11

When the rolls are baking, prepare the cheese frosting. In a bowl, add cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Combine & mix well until smooth & creamy. Cover and keep aside.

  12. 12

Check the rolls after 25 minutes or more. Remove from the oven. Next, evenly spread the cream cheese frosting on each roll. Adjust the amount of frosting used to your liking.

  13. 13

💡TIPS: There are two ways on when you can apply the frosting depending on your preference. If you prefer the icing or frosting to melt into the rolls for a glossy effect, apply it immediately when the rolls are still hot, right after they are out from the oven. For a thicker traditional frosting, allow the rolls to cool slightly. The rolls, however, should be still slightly warm, allowing the frosting to adhere better. Enjoy 💕
