Ingredients

Serves 8 servings
  1. Sweet pastry dough
  2. 2 cupsall-purpose flour (250 g)
  3. 2/3 cupunsalted butter (150 g)
  4. 1 pinchsalt
  5. 1large egg
  6. 3/4 cuppowdered sugar (90 g)
  7. 1/4 cupalmond flour (30 g)
  8. For the filling
  9. 1 1/4 poundsfresh figs (500 g), preferably from the garden
  10. 2 tablespoonsalmond flour
  11. 1 tablespoonlight brown sugar
  12. 1 tablespoonsliced almonds
  13. 1drizzle of honey
  14. 2 teaspoonsmelted butter (10 g)

    Place all the ingredients for the sweet pastry dough in a food processor and mix until the dough comes together. Shape the dough into a ball, then flatten it slightly on a sheet of parchment paper to form a disk.

    Fold the parchment paper over the dough and let it rest in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

    Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to about 1/2 inch (1.5 cm) thick. Sprinkle the dough with almond flour. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Wash the figs, trim the ends, then cut them in half and into quarters. Arrange them in a circle in the center of the dough.

    Fold the edges of the dough over the fruit. Brush the edges of the dough with a little melted butter. Sprinkle the top of the tart with brown sugar and sliced almonds. Drizzle with honey.

    Bake the tart at 350°F (180°C) for 30 minutes. Let it cool slightly before serving and enjoy at room temperature.

    If you like, decorate with a few strawberries and sprinkle with white chocolate.
