Ingredients

45 minutes
2 people
  1. 5medium size bitter gourd clean and washed skin removed and cut into round pieces
  2. 1 tspmustard seed
  3. Pinchasfoetida
  4. 1 tbspred chilli powder
  5. 1 tspturmeric powder and dry mango powder each
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Cooking oil as required

Steps

45 minutes
  1. 1

    Cut bitter gourd into round pieces and apply salt and keep aside for 10 minutes. Squeeze all salt water and keep aside

  2. 2

    In a pan heat oil and add mustard seeds. Once mustard seed splutter add pinch of asfoetida, add turmeric powder, red chilli powder. Then add bitter gourd pieces. Mix well

  3. 3

    Add dry mango powder and salt to taste. Mix and put the lid and cook for 10 minutes or until bitter gourd cooked properly.

  4. 4

    Serve Hot as a side dish with Rice
