Steps

Wash the chana dal thoroughly for 3 - 4 times. Soak it for 2 hours in hot water. (The dal will double in quantity).

After 2 hours, drain the dal well. Take the soaked dal in a mixer jar. Add cumin seeds, dried red chillies, green chillies, cumin seeds & 2 tbsp water & grind to a thick coarse paste.

Transfer the mixture in a bowl & add rest of the ingredients & mix the batter well with hands.

Divide the mixture into 10 equal portions & roll each portion into 2" diameter flat round wada.

Heat a non stick pan & smear oil.

Place 2 wadas at a time & pour little oil over them. Cook them till they turn golden from both the sides.

Serve them immediately with green chutney.
