Sweet & Sour Hog Plum Chutney in Bengali twist

Wash the hog plum, peel the skin. Then boil it in pressure cooker. Other hand heat pan add dry chillis, fennel seeds and panch phoron. Dry roast for 3 mintues then grind the spices. Chutney masala is ready.

Smash the boiled hog plum. Then take a kadai, heat the mustard oil. Add Dry chili, bay leaf, panch phoron & mustard seeds. Saute for 1 mintue.

Then add smashed hog plum. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, green chilli and water (hog plum boiled water). Saute it.

Wait for boiling, after 2 mintues when water is 1/4 reduced add sugar. Cook for 2-3 mintues into medium high flame. When the chutney is thick add special Bengali chutney masala. Rest for cooling. Then serve it.
