Easy to make with ground lamb for a comforting, cozy meal perfect for colder months.

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Heat olive oil in skillet. Sauté onions and carrots until soft.

Add lamb, cook until browned. Stir in garlic, cook 1 min.

Add tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce. Cook 2 min.

Pour in beef broth, simmer 5 min. Stir in peas, remove from heat.

Peel and chop potatoes. Boil until tender, drain.

Add sour cream, salt, pepper. Mash with hand mixer until smooth.

Spread filling in baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes, smooth surface.

Sprinkle cheddar cheese if using.

Bake 25 min until golden and bubbling. Broil 2–3 min for crispier top.
Tips
Use a hand mixer for mashing the potatoes to achieve a smooth and creamy texture.
