For Mutton, Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add whole cinnamon, cloves and cardamom.

Now add onion paste and ginger garlic paste to it.

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and cinnamon powder and mix well.

Now add the washed mutton pieces and salt and mix well.

Cook on high flame for 5 minutes and then add 1 cup water, close the lid and cook till 3 whistles.

For Turnip Curry, wash, peel and cut turnip in cubes.

Heat oil in a wok and fry turnip pieces till golden in colour.

Now heat oil in a nonstick skillet and put cumin seeds and coriander seeds.

Add chopped onion and fry till pink in colour.

Add ginger garlic paste and saute.

Add chopped tomato and spices. Mix well and cook until tomato cooked well and oil starts separate.

Add fried turnip pieces and mix well.

Now add salt and cook on high heat for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add green chillies and coriander leaves, then cooked mutton.

Mix well and cook on medium high heat for 2-3 minutes

Add ½ cup water, cover and cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes.

Switch off the heat and enjoy delicious shaljam gosht (Turnip Mutton curry) with Rice or naan.
