Carrot Ginger Soup
Steps
- 1
Take all the needed ingredients.
- 2
Cut carrots and onion into small pieces. Slice ginger thinly.
- 3
Heat butter in a pan. Add bay leaf, black pepper, and cloves. Sauté for 30 seconds.
- 4
Add diced onion, then ginger and sauté for 1 minute.
- 5
Add carrot and sauté briefly.
- 6
Pour in water, cover, and cook until vegetables are soft (about 15 minutes).
- 7
Let cool slightly, then blend until smooth.
- 8
Strain the soup for a silky texture.
- 9
Return to pan, adjust salt and spiciness, and heat through.
- 10
Serve hot.
Tips
Using just 1/2 inch of ginger keeps the flavor balanced so it doesn’t overpower the soup.
