Steps

In a cooker add chana, whole spices and add required water. cook for 5 whistles in medium flame.

In a pan add 2 tsp oil, then add chopped onion, ginger, garlic, cashew saute it for few mins. after onion is half cooked add chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 mins.

After onion and tomato is well cooked, add masala powders (chilli, turmeric,coriander, kashmiri red chilli, cumin powder and garam masala) mix it well and cook for 1 min.

Once it cool down, grind it as smooth paste.

In a pan add 3 tbsp butter, after it melts add cumin seeds and grinding paste, add required salt.

After it boils add cooked chana with water cook for 5 mins.

Check the salt and add sugar and crushed kasthuri methi.

Atlast add 2 cubes of butter and close the lid. mix it well before serving.
Tips
for rich taste instead of adding fresh milk add soaked cashew paste.
