Ingredients

3-4 servings
  • 500 gbeef mince (turkey can also be used!)
  • 5 clovesgarlic minced
  • 55g brown sugar
  • 60 gsoy sauce
  • 1 teaspoongrated fresh ginger
  • 1 tspchili flakes or to taste
  • 1 tablespoonsesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ~70g per personRice - whatever your preference is (I use basmati or jasmine).
  • ~ 50g Spring onions (for garnish)
  • A fewpinches of Sesame seeds (optional)

    Heat up the seame oil in a pan on medium heat. Then add the beef (or turkey) mince and cook until it is no longer pink.

  2. 2

    While the meat is cooking, cook your rice according to package directions (about 70g per person).

  3. 3

    Drain the fat from the meat.

  4. 4

    Turn the heat to medium-low and add the minced garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, chili flakes, and salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

    While meat is simmering, steam the broccoli.

  6. 6

    Finally, just plate it up! Put rice in your bowl first, and top with Korean beef, broccoli, chopped spring onion and sesame seeds (optional).
