casual gathering with friends. Warm, cheesy, and easy to
prepare, it's always a crowd-pleaser.
Steps
- 1
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- 2
Mix butter, garlic, parsley, and salt in a bowl.
- 3
Cut the bread into a crosshatch pattern, not cutting through the bottom.
- 4
Use a brush to spread the garlic butter deep into all the cuts.
- 5
Stuff mozzarella and Gouda into the bread, reaching deep between slices.
- 6
Sprinkle Parmesan on top if using.
- 7
Wrap loaf loosely in foil, leaving a small opening at the top.
- 8
Bake for 20 minutes.
- 9
Open foil and bake 10–15 minutes more, until cheese is melted and golden.
- 10
Remove from oven, sprinkle extra parsley, and serve warm.
Tips
Using a sourdough loaf enhances the flavor, and brushing the butter ensures it gets deep into the cuts.
