Ingredients

  • MarinadeFor
  • 500 gmschicken Boneless
  • 1 tbspGinger garlic paste
  • 1 tspchili sauce Hot
  • 1 tspSoy sauce
  • 1Egg
  • 1/4 cupCornflour
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1 tspBlack pepper (crushed)
  • Sauce For
  • 2Red onion small  (chopped)
  • 1 tbspGarlic (chopped)
  • 1 tspsKashmiri chili powder
  • 1 tspHoney
  • 1 tspSoya sauce
  • 3 tbspsTomato sauce
  • 1 tspchili sauce Hot
  • handfulGarlic chives
  • handfulCashewnuts (chopped)
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 2 tbspsSesame oil

  1. 1

    To a bowl add the ingredients mentioned for the marinade, mix well and marinate the chicken for at least 1 hour.

  2. 2

    Heat up oil and deep fry the marinated chicken. Fry till golden brown.  Drain off excess oil by placing on absorbent paper.

  3. 3

    Heat another pan and add sesame oil. Saute the ginger garlic paste till raw smell disappears. Then add onions and sauté till it becomes translucent.

  4. 4

    Now, reduce heat and add chilli powder. Stir for a few seconds and then add soy sauce, tomato sauce and honey.

  5. 5

    Finally, add the fried chicken along with cashewnuts. Mix well till the chicken is well coated with sauted mixture. Garnish with chives or spring onions.

  6. 6

    Switch off heat after a couple of minutes. Serve with fried rice.
