Aged beef sautéed with just salt and pepper. Fish sauce and soy sauce with some sesame oil. Butter sautéed mushrooms. As simple as that :). The rib eye steaks are aged according to Heston's technique of ageing them in the refrigerator, not the freezer, for 2 whole days! Yes, you heard it right! :) just make sure your refrigerator doesn't run out of power during the 2 day time.

Ingredients

  • 4Rib eye steak -
  • one 250 gRice noodles - packets
  • 250 gMushrooms -
  • fistfulGarlic - a chopped (reduce if you can't stand garlic)
  • oneOnion - medium , diced
  • Fish sauce - few sprinkle
  • 1 tbspSoy sauce -
  • Sesame oil - for sautéing
  • Sesame seeds - for garnishing (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Season the steak with salt and Pan fry the steak in little sesame oil for not more than 15 seconds on each side. Remove from heat, sprinkle pepper and loosely wrap in a foil and leave to rest.

    Cook the noodles according to instruction

  3. 3

    Sauté garlic and onion in butter and once done, add the mushrooms.

  4. 4

    Add little sesame oil and add cooked rice noodles.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle fish sauce and soy sauce

  6. 6

    Slice the steak thin and return it with the juices in oil to the pan

  7. 7

    Don't cook any further. Combine, sprinkle sesame seeds and serve warm.
