Steps
- 1
In warm water 1/2 cup, add active dry yeast and sugar. Mix well to ensure the dry yeast gets dissolved in water.
- 2
Leave it to rest for 5 min.
- 3
In a large bowl, add wheat flour, all purpose flour, salt, yogurt and add dry yeast mixture, water required to make a dough smooth enough to roll. But not sticky.
- 4
Knead the dough softer with little pressure so the dough is softer. This helps in doubling in size when kept to rest.
- 5
Cover the kneaded dough with a moist kitchen towel and leave it for 2 hrs in a warm place.
- 6
The yeast will make the dough rise.
- 7
Now make small balls and roll out to naan shape.
- 8
In a tawa, add a tsp of butter, place the rolled out naan and cook
- 9
Turn on to the other side, add another tsp of butter and cook both sides
- 10
Serve hot for softer naan
