Ingredients

  • ½ cupRoasted Daliya (Broken Wheat)
  • 2 tablespoonsoil
  • ½ teaspooncumin seeds jeera /
  • ¼ teaspoonblack peppercorns
  • ½ inchcinnamon stick
  • 2 – 3cloves
  • 1 cupmixed vegetables (carrots, potatoes, peas, cauliflower, beans)
  • ½ teaspoonturmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoonred chilli powder
  • 1 cupwater
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the pressure cooker and dry roast the dalia till it changes colour slightly and then remove.

  2. 2

    In the same cooker add the oil, cumin, peppercorns, cinnamon, cloves and sauté.

  3. 3

    Add the mixed vegetables (you can add any vegetables of your choice) and sauté for 2 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add roasted daliya, turmeric, red chilli powder and salt. Mix everything well.

  5. 5

    Add 1 cup water and close the cooker lid. After 3-4 whistles turn of the heat and let the steam from the cooker escape.

  6. 6

    Roasted Vegetables Daliya is read to serve!
