Okay so, I know what you're thinking... Black beans and chocolate? What? TRUST ME, it's really good.
The black beans provide the creaminess needed for a mousse dessert and you don't notice that they're even in there! I'm all about chocolate at the moment and it's just nice knowing that it's really nutritious and healthy whilst feeling indulgent. You'll be gaining lots of protein from the black beans and an insane amount of vitamins and minerals from the other ingredients. No added sugar and it tastes amazing, what's not to love!? 😍😋

Ingredients

  • One tinblack beans of (240g drained weight)
  • Four tablespoonscacao of raw powder
  • One cupalmond milk of (or other non-dairy )
  • Three tablespoonsmaple syrup of
  • Orange zest plus extra for topping
  • Cacao nibs for topping

Steps

  1. 1

    Blend black beans in blender until smooth

  2. 2

    Add in the cacao, almond milk and maple syrup and blend again

  3. 3

    Stir in the orange zest

  4. 4

    Top with orange zest and cacao nibs

  5. 5

    Pour the mousse into ramekins, glasses or espresso cups

  6. 6

    Serve immediately or refrigerate
