Ingredients

2 servings
  • 1 pieceSalmon steak
  • 100 gString beans (sitaw)
  • 1 pieceTomato
  • 50 gWhite radish (daikon)
  • 1/2 pieceOnion
  • 500 mlWater
  • 1 tablespoonTamarind soup base (sinigang mix)
  • 1/2 teaspoonSalt
  • 1/4 teaspoonPepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil water in a pot and add onion and tomato.

  2. 2

    Add white radish and cook for 3 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add string beans and simmer until tender.

  4. 4

    Add salmon steak and cook until just done.

  5. 5

    Stir in tamarind soup base, salt, and pepper.

  6. 6

    Simmer for 2 more minutes and serve hot.

Tips

Adjust the sourness by adding more tamarind mix according to your taste.
