Ingredients

  1. 4 portionspork
  2. 2 tbspsoy sauce
  3. 2 tsprice wine
  4. 1 tbspblack vinegar or balsamic vinegar
  5. 2 tbspOyster sauce
  6. 1 tbspchili paste (optional)
  7. 2 tbspcornstarch
  8. 1 tbspsesame seed oil
  9. 1 tspsalt
  10. 1.5 tspsugar
  11. 1 dashblack or white pepper
  12. 1onion
  13. 4 clovesminced garlic
  14. Peanuts (optional)
  15. 1 cupwater

Steps

  1. 1

    Marinade meat with soy sauce, Oyster sauce, salt, sugar, pepper, rice wine

    Add a little oil into pot topped with minced garlic marinated meat, carrots and onions (onions can be used last if you prefer them crunchy)

    Add water to cover and cook on high for 12 to 15 mins

  4. 4

    Add onion (and dried chili) on top and continue cooking on low for 4 to 6 hours

    Before finishing, stir in vinegar, seasoning, sesame seed oil, watered-down cornstarch, (chili paste if you're using), peanuts, cook for another 20 mins

  6. 6

    Stir, taste, adjust and enjoy

  7. 7

    Note : ready-to-cook kungpow paste available in markets everywhere. If you're busy, just cheat =)
