Okra soup

Okra is also called mabinda in Swahili. its very sweet though slippery. I remembered my grandmother's recipe and tried to cook it. I cooked it with beef. This was the best meal I have ever tasted. You can also try it.

Wash the okra and cut to pieces. meanwhile cook the beef till tender.

When already tender, drain excess water and keep aside. then add the oil and onions to the beef and fry together till cooked well

Add tomatoes then tomato paste. stir well to mix. at this point now add okra and stir

Then add the soup you kept aside. add salt and curry powder.

Let it cook for 20- 30 mins till cooked well.

Remove from heat serve with Ugali. This was delicious.
