Ingredients

2 as a side
  1. 140 gbeetroot leaves
  2. 1/2 Tablespoonsesame seeds
  3. 1 Tablespoonsoy sauce
  4. 1Tablesppon water
  5. 1/2 teaspoonsugar
  6. 1 pinchJapanese fish stock powder (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and drain the leaves. Cut up roughly about 5 x 5 cm.

    Dry roast the sesame seeds.

  3. 3

    Heat a wok and put all the leaves. No need water nor oil. The droplets of water from leaves will do the work. Stir all the time. When the colour changed switch the heat off. Leave to cool.

  4. 4

    Grind sesame seeds, add water, soysauce, sugar and fish stock if using. When all are combined, add leaves and mix well. Here is the photo of one serving as a side dish.
