Ingredients

  1. For batter:
  2. 1 cupbesan
  3. 1 pinchturmeric powder
  4. 1 pinchasafoetida
  5. 1 pinchbaking soda
  6. to tastesalt
  7. 1/2 tspchilli powder
  8. Ladi Pav
  9. Cheese for garnish
  10. oil for frying2 large potatoes
  11. For Filling:
  12. 1large onion
  13. 3green chillies
  14. 1/2" ginger
  15. 1 tbspcoriander
  16. 1 tbsppowdered peanuts
  17. 1 tbspgrated coconut
  18. 1/2 tbsplemon juice
  19. to tastesalt
  20. 1/2 tspsugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil, peel and mash potatoes. Roast and powder ground nuts coarsely. Saute the onion until soft Mix potatoes,onion, ground nuts, coconut and all the other ingredients into a dough. make small balls and set aside. Mix the batter ingre. with 2tsp of very hot oil. Heat oil, dip the potato balls in the batter and deep fry. Serve sizzling hot with ladi pav and garnish with chutney and Cheese.
