Ingredients

10 mini tsourekis or one large
  1. 500 gflour
  2. 100-165 gsugar
  3. 125 mltahini
  4. 15 gdry yeast
  5. 50 mltepid water
  6. 75 mlorange juice at 40°C
  7. mahleb, ground cardamom seeds
  8. 1little salt

Steps

    Place the liquid ingredients in the bread machine and then add the rest.

  2. 2

    Set it for kneading.

  3. 3

    Watch over the dough in case it needs extra water and if it does add water or orange juice.

  4. 4

    When the dough is ready, shape into one large tsoureki or mini ones and add some jam if you like.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle with slivered almonds or demerara sugar.

  6. 6

    Let them rise for about an hour.

  7. 7

    Bake at 180°C for 20' if you make mini tsourekia or 30-35' if you make a large one.

  8. 8

    If you like you can use a white or couverture chocolate glaze and colorful sprinkles to decorate it.

Is there an error in this recipe? I do not see how to use the mahlab or cardamom. Also, is this enough water or orange juice? it seems very dry for 500g of flour.
