Beaten egg with cocoa powder

A velvety chocolate dessert that is easy and quick, suitable for both young and old! You may find it as "krokada" (of the egg yolk).This used to be a very traditional recipe for a very common snack for children in Greece, both in urban areas and the countryside and it has marked favorite childhood moments for a large number of us! Very easy to make, with simple ingredients that are both fulfilling and extremely tasty! It was a pleasure not only to eat it but also to be allowed to make it on our own from a very young age, since it was great fun to beat the egg yolk until creamy and didn't require any particular skills.

Place the egg yolk in a cup.

Add 1 or 2 tsp cocoa powder and 1 or 2 tsp of sugar (you can experiment with the amounts depending on your personal preferences).

Using a tsp or a small fork mix/beat thoroughly until your mixture acquires a creamy texture.

If you make it properly, you will see bubbles forming! Then you know it's ready!

Enjoy it, as it is or served with bread or rusks!
