Steps

Wash beaten rice in water - squeeze well and keep aside.

Melt jaggery in 1 cup of water and strain for any impurities.

In a pan, add ghee and first fry cashew nuts then raisins and keep them aside.

Add the beaten rice to the ghee and pour half a cup of water and cook till tender.

Add melted jaggery to the pan and cook for about 5 minutes.

Add coconut milk and switch off the flame and leave it for 5 minutes.

Finally add the cardamom powder, fried cashews and raisins. The tasty payasam is ready.
